READ ALOUD - Class 3 (Week 6)

Dear Students,

Welcome back to the Library class.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed last week's class and activity of creating YOUR OWN short story.

We are now in Week 6 of online teaching. We will start to slowly progress to read aloud story sessions.

The motive of READ ALOUD story sessions is to encourage students to learn the correct pronunciation, the pitch and the rise and fall of the voices while reading and narrating stories. 

The story I have picked for you, is a short story :

"MISS MAPLE'S SEEDS"

Since it is a short story, you can first listen to the story and then read aloud at least three to four times in front of your parents and siblings to make sure you are able to pronounce and read the words correctly. 

There will be a lot of NEW WORDS, but don't you worry. Take your time to learn the meaning and pronunciation of these words. You can repeatedly work on pronouncing these words to your parents, so that you are able to learn it well.

TASK FOR THE WEEK :

1) Is there a moral to this story? Discuss with your parents and siblings the message YOU have learnt from the story.

2) Pick at least FIVE NEW WORDS.
    And in your ROUGH NOTEBOOK, do the following :

Learn the Spellings.
Practice writing them and using them in a sentence. Look for their meanings. Learn to pronounce them correctly.
