READ ALOUD - Class 2 (Week 6)

Dear Students,

Welcome back to the Library class.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed last week's class and activity of making a BOOK COVER.

We are now in Week 6 of online teaching. We will start to slowly progress to read aloud story sessions.

The motive of READ ALOUD story sessions is to encourage students to learn the correct pronunciation, the pitch and the rise and fall of the voices while reading and narrating stories. 

The story I have picked for you, is a short story :

"THE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD"

Since it is a short story, you can first listen to the story and then read aloud at least three to four times in front of your parents and siblings to make sure you are able to pronounce and read the words correctly. 

There will be a lot of NEW WORDS, but don't you worry. Take your time to learn the meaning and pronunciation of these words. You can repeatedly work on pronouncing these words to your parents, so that you are able to learn it well.

MORAL OF THE STORY : 

Never trust a stranger or get into a conversation with them. It is also important to not share any personal information like your home address, name, phone number etc.

TASK FOR THE WEEK :

Pick at least THREE NEW WORDS.
And in your ROUGH NOTEBOOK, do the following :

Learn the Spellings.
Practice writing them and using them in a sentence.

Look for their meanings.
Learn to pronounce them correctly.
