READING PASSAGE - Class 2 (Week 7)

Dear Students,

Welcome back to the Library. It is now Week 7 of online teaching.
Let us commence this class, with a beautiful quotation on reading :

We had started READ ALOUD sessions last week. I hope you enjoyed the story and were able to read aloud, and pronounce the words correctly.

If you were having difficulty reading the story, then worry not. We will continue working on READ ALOUD this week and in the summer holidays, as well.

The purpose of giving you multiple READ ALOUD sessions, is to ensure that by the time you are back in school, you are able to read a passage quickly and fluently. 

For this week, we will have a READING PASSAGE, instead of a short story without audio visual cues.

The passage I have selected for you, is called :
"GOING TO THE LIBRARY"

Refer to the image below, to read the passage. Please read it 3-4 times, and ask your mom dad for help if you have difficulty pronouncing certain words.

TASK FOR THE WEEK :

1. Find 3 difficult words. Write them down and learn their spellings and meanings.

2. Answer the following short questions :

a) What is the person called, who helps you find what you are looking for, in a library?

b) What kind of books are available in the library?
