Dear students,

I hope you are enjoying your summer holidays and are having fun with the activities that have been assigned to you.

I will be attaching images for your reference.

You must use the images of this STORY BOARD to create a short story in your own words.

You can give names to the characters and a suitable title should be given to your story.

TASK FOR THE WEEK :

Build a short story using your imagination, but base the story on the images given above.

You can do this activity on an A4 size sheet or in your rough notebooks.

This should be fairly easy as you have already created a story based on a story board earlier in your library class work.

HAVE FUN with this week's activity!!
Feel free to share pictures of your story on my official email id : minikandhari@stcolumbas.edu.in

SUMMER HOLIDAY HOMEWORK CLASS 3 WEEK 4 (2020-2021)

Dear students,

Hope your summer holidays have been good so far and you are enjoying.

I also hope that the activities are keeping you busy and you are finding them interesting and fun.

For this week, I have chosen a READING PASSAGE for you.

You can read the story as many times as you like to familiarise yourself with the difficult words and spellings.

The main aim of giving a reading passage is that you are able to learn how to read a paragraph quickly and fluently.

It is indeed a long reading passage, so take your time and make sure you read it more than once if required to understand the passage well.REFER TO THE IMAGES BELOW:

I hope you enjoyed the story and read it a few times to understand it well and picked new difficult words.
You can learn the spellings and meanings of these new words and practice writing them in your rough notebook. It is very important to LEARN how to PRONOUNCE these difficult words correctly.

Feel free to ask your parents, older siblings and look up the pronunciations of words on Youtube.

Now based on the story, complete the following activity :

Choose ANY short story that YOU like. Based on your favourite short story, you will create a pop up book.

I will be attaching a few images of students from last year who have already created pop up books.

You can take inspiration from these and create your own.

I am also going to be attaching a video which shows you a detailed way of making a pop up book. It will be helpful for those of you who are not sure about how to create one.

Refer to video and images below before you start working on your own pop up book.
